Open Enrollment is October 10- November 12, 2024, for changes effective January 1, 2025
Open enrollment is the annual opportunity for benefit-eligible retirees to add or drop an eligible dependent and make plan changes to benefits effective January 1, 2025. If you are currently enrolled in one of our retiree plans and do nothing, your benefit plan enrollment will continue at your current coverage level and at the rates in effect on January 1, 2025. Open enrollment is the opportunity for Kaiser Senior Advantage members the opportunity to switch to the district’s Anthem MAPD plan or United American supplement. Members enrolled in the MAPD plan or United American plan may switch from one plan to the other or have the option of switching to Kaiser Senior Advantage. Please note if you are currently enrolled in KPSA and switch to one of the other plans, you will not have the opportunity to re-enroll in SISC KPSA in the future.
Reimbursement Processes Have Changed
If you are enrolled in a SISC medical plan (Kaiser, Kaiser Senior Advantage, or Anthem), medical and prescription reimbursements are now being processed by Navia. Please submit claim requests to Navia. If you are enrolled in the District’s Anthem MAPD plan or Traditional Medicare with the United American Supplemental plan, please submit claim requests to the Peralta Benefits Office. You may contact the Benefits Office at (510) 466-7229 to receive information, claim forms, and instructions for submitting claims.

Changes to Medical plans can only be made during Open Enrollment, or if you experience a Qualifying Life Event. If you are enrolled in a SISC plan (Kaiser, Kaiser Senior Advantage, or Anthem), please contact the Benefits Office for the applicable forms. Forms may be emailed or mailed upon request.
